Condition - Arthritis

Arthritis: osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease. The cartilage covering the ends of the bones, at the joints, deteriorates, causing pain and loss of movement, as bone rubs against bone. Rheumatoid arthritis is an auto-immune disease, in which the joint lining and surrounding tissues become inflamed, causing deterioration and pain, with limited movement. Other forms of arthritis include: gout, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus and Still’s disease. See also Immunity.
