Candida albicans is a yeast that is naturally present in the gut. When present in healthy concentrations its primary function is to consume “unfriendly” bacteria in the gut. It is only problematic when there is an overgrowth which can cause multiple symptoms that may include: fatigue, sugar cravings, thrush, anal itching, athlete’s foot, headaches, irritablility, joint pains, sensitivity to chemicals, recurrent sore throats and bloating.
