Grape seeds contain bioflavonoids called ‘procyanidolic oligomers’ (PCOs). PCOs work closely with vitamins C and E and other bioflavonoids. They are up to 50 times more effective phyto-antioxidants than vitamin E at quenching harmful excess free radicals. Easily absorbed by the digestive system, PCOs bond to collagen in skin and cross the barrier between blood vessels and the brain, thereby helping maintain healthy skin, brain, nervous system function and eyes. They also help support a healthy heart, joints, blood vessels and blood flow. Applied to skin in gels, grape seed extract helps moisturise, for softer, smoother-looking skin.
