Phospholipids are lipids (fats), which contain the mineral phosphorous. They form a major part of cell walls, helping repair and maintain cells so as to keep them fluid and whole. Without enough phospholipids, cell walls would be less efficient at their role, such as allowing nutrients to enter and waste to leave. Phospholipids exist in high amounts in the brain and nerves. Soya is a rich natural source of phospholipids.
