Recipes - Spelt and Rye Bread

Spelt and Rye Bread


  • 350g spelt flour
  • 150g rye flour
  • 10g yeast
  • 300ml warm water
  • 3 tbsp Omega Excellence Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp linseed oil
  • Salt and pepper to season  


  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Mix the spelt and rye flour together in a mixing bowl.
  3. Place the yeast in the middle and add a little of the water.
  4. Mix and leave for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the rest of the water along with the linseed oil, salt, pepper and vinegar and knead together.
  6. Leave the dough to rest in a warm place and cover with a tea towel for around 30 minutes.
  7. Knead again for about 5 minutes, add water if required and let the dough rise for another 20 minutes.
  8. Put the dough into a baking tin and cook for 45 minutes.
